What do you think is the worst job?
Elementary school teacher! I have no patience as far as little kids goes. I can picture it now: some kid will pull some girl's hair and she'll flip out and I'll loom over them and yell "SUCK IT UP, BITCH"

This is why I won't have kids; for their sake.

In other news, my kickass friend Shiba created a Smackjeeves account for both of us! Right now it has a comic she's doing for our friendversary (YES WE ARE DORKS WHO CELEBRATE FRIENDVERSARIES, SHUT UP) but it's mostly going to be focused on Paisly and Parsley. Who I am totally not going to forget about this summer. Paisly/Parsley and Radiate are my two main focuses from now till August, so there.

Hah, today I finished my first year of high school; hell yeah, summerrrr. I’m just sad because my dad’ll be leaving for this military thing for a while, so my mom’s planning on road tripping the hell out of me and my brother. Which means no desktop. Which means no TweetDeck or Photoshop or yWriter or any of my other favorite software, which is very “D:”. Me and my software are like… best friends, but in a totally not-pathetic way.

Anyways; I’ve been watching BtVS, because at this point in time I’ve realized that I’m pretty much destined to always be late to the party. A lot of the characters, like Angel, are pretty ‘eh’ for me, but Xander and Cordelia are the shit. I’m watching Lover’s Walk at the moment, and I’m totally scared of finishing it ): I’m used to sitcoms, damn it! The worst that happens in most shows I watch are… Okay, well, getting hit by a bus in Barney’s case. Plus I totally adore Willow and Xander’s friendship and it’ll hurt to see it damaged and-

Rambling, you guys don’t want to hear about my BtVS musings, do you?

Right now I’m rewriting Radiate from scratch- I’m considering making it a satire, because it’s such a ridiculous story to begin with. Plus, all my characters do is sit in bars and insult each other and drink, under the pretext that they’re trying to sort of save the world. I’ve got a few other projects laying around on my blog, too.

Also setting up an art blog and whatnot, trying to focus more on art and be more productive, so I might stay away from fandom for a while.

Tweeting/twatting like nobody’s business, too!

People who enter the Witness Protection Program have to change their names. If you were in that situation, which new name would you choose?
Helen Scherbatsky. Weird name, but damn (with two syllables) I love the name Scherbatsky, and not just because Robin is my idol.

In other news, my family just got a cute new little HP laptop. Up till now we've been using this screaming metal death trap of a desktop that is so screwed up (I restart it about five times per day. I am not exaggerating), but apparently I'm not allowed to use it unless I have to. No downloading anything D: But I'll name it Daedalus anyways. Guess I'll still be stuck spending three hours to load one episode of Buffy.

Kay, I'm going to go back to #writechat on Twitter. If anyone reading this has a twitter.... Join us.

What is your favorite holiday-specific candy or treat?
Ugh, Peeps, fo' sho. Why are we even discussing this? Which, by the way, my mom did not get for Easter. [/heartbreak.]

My mom also got me and my brother Lost Boys on DVD. It's not, like, a favorite of mine- vampires have just never interested me- but Edgar Frog is the shit, so it's all good. I have this embarassingly large folder full of screencaps of him lol.

My mom's also ordered Dr. Horrible so asdljasldk yay I can finally see Commentary! in it's all of it's glory. Which reminds me...

Crappy Dr. Horrible speedpaint thing on oekaki, no reference or anything.

I've started rewriting Radiate- my crappy little excuse for a 'novel'- I might store it here if I want to show it to friends or something. So, yeah, heads up.
Uhhhhh happy easter!

So, last November I participated in NaNoWriMo for the first time. I, of course, made the awful mistake of getting caught up in all of the pretty (free!) software everyone else was using.
I now adore looking for various software that can help my writing, and make writing more efficient and organized.
So far, I've spent all of $0 on writing software (:

Text editors, word processors, outlining systems, all by behind the cut. Also, did I mention that they're ~free~?Collapse )

So? If anyone has any other great softwares that are not on the list, I'd love to hear about them!

So Much For Rock N' Roll might just be one of my fav. Reel Big Fish songs. Which is weird, because I usually don't consider "You are such an asshole/ you are such an asshole/ you are such an asshoolllleee" to be an acceptable chorus, but RBF has always had a weird talent of making anger seem funny (See also: "Everything is Cool", "Hate You")

So, HIMYM THIS WEEK.... I liked it. Sure, the infected ear thing was kind of gross, but this episode was just too funny not to to like. So what if NPH wasn't as ~pretty~ as usual? All the ridiculous, not-booth things that hid Alyson's belly were hilarious.

And you know what I think might just validate the awesomeness of this episode? I haven't seen any of the movies referenced (Teen Wolf, Lethal Weapon, Top Gun, various other two-word movies) and I still found it hilarious.

Marshall and Lily were OOC, but I was laughing to hard to care.

And, did I mention the fact that my mom is now a Twitard? Yeah, my mother, who has only read Nicholas Sparks novels since high school, is reading Twilight someone please kill me now. I'm just sort of pissed off because I have spent all of my life recommending novels to her, which she refuses, and now one of her friends get obsessed with this 'book' and my mom is suddenly the avid reader!
I mean, come on, Mom. Twilight? Of all things, TWILIGHT?

ps: I am willing to sell my soul for this shirt. If interested in such a transaction, please message me.

You finally have an excuse to use it—what userpic do you not get to use very often but can't delete because it's just that awesome?
Angry!Marshall owns all. The only reason I don't use it that often is because I'm rarely ever angry on here ): Just look at it! The text! The expression! The Jason Segel....Ness! I love it ;u;

In other news, I drew an utterly pointless and unfunny comic about my characters in Radiate. Pritzke drinks water at a bar, Katarina is a ~ray of sunshine~ as usual/Collapse )

Cut for... Yeah. This will just look weird if you're not familiar with the involved fandoms ):Collapse )
In other news, I'm (collective gasp!) being productive.

If a friend started reading your journal today, what would you need to fill them in on so they could understand what you're writing about?
I would receive such comments as "Why do you draw fish and that one hooker character of yours all of the time?" "What is HIMYM?" ".....Have your parents seen this?" and other various awkward questions.

Today was awesome. I got to skip school to go to an art contest, and go to Dairy Queen. I didn't win anything, though. My pathetic little woodburning was up against a dress made entirely out of PEACOCK FEATHERS, and what looked like a paper mache version of a concentration camp shirt. I can't compete with something as profound and deep as that, guys.

But it was fun! And I got back to school just in time to catch 7th hour, in which we had our little Shakespeare festival. And by that, I mean we ate cookies that said "R+J" on them and soda with the label ripped off and 'Shakespeare soda' written on it. Pathetic, but W/E IT'S DELICIOUS FOOD I DON'T MIND.

My mom made me sit through Twatlight with her. And she said she'd ground me if I made any snide comments. PHYSICAL. PAIN.

ugh, I'm going to go lick my wounds (eww, that just doesn't sound as metaphorical as it does in books, does it?) and finish coloring that Radiate comic.
